INTRODUCTION

Our blood is a fluid which delivers the different nutrients and oxygen to the whole body. It is composed of blood cells suspended in the plasma. It contains blood cells like red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Platelets are the cells which are responsible for the clotting of the blood and it is also responsible for the formation of platelet plug formation where there is injury inside the body. There is a disease known as ITP (Immune thrombocytopenia) which can lead to excessive bruising and bleeding and this is happening due to the low level of platelets. It is formally known as Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura.

In ayurveda it can be correlated to the condition known as raktapitta (Bleeding disorders) Acharya Charaka has said that this disease is happening due to the vitiation of pitta and rakta dosha in the body. In this disease there can be bleeding from the different open channels of the body like from nose, ears, mouth, vagina, anal region and all the hair follicles.

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF ITP LEVEL-1 (BASIC PACK)

This is a kind of autoimmune disorder where your immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own cells which are platelets and destroys them due to the deficiency of the platelets in the body. It can also be triggered by different infections like HIV, hepatitis or H. pylori.

1. PLATO PLAN SYRUP

This is syrup which is used for the treatment of low levels of platelets. It can also be used for the treatment of various infections. It can also be used for generalized weakness. It contains ingredients like

• Eranda karkati (Carica papaya) – This is an herb which can be used for the treatment of low platelet count. It can be used in the treatment of bleeding disorders like piles, nasal bleeding, constipation etc.
• Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) – This herb is very useful in balancing the tridosha. It is used to boost the immunity and can be used for the treatment of anemia, fever; it is a very useful treatment of raktapitta.
• Wheat grass (Triticum aestivum) – It is very helpful in generation of the new cells in the body; it can be used in muscle growth. It also has antioxidant effects and can be used in the treatment of certain infections.
