Introduction

Sharpunkha is well known for its spleen detoxifying properties. It has Tikta (pungent), kshaya (astringent) rasa and laghu properties. Sharpunkha is very effective on the spleen and liver, and thus helps in enhancing immunity. It also acts as a rakta shodhak which means it purifies blood, it helps in metabolising digestion. In dental caries its stem is used to brush teeth and the oil of its seeds is very effective in skin.

Method of Preparation

• A standardized extract of Sharpunkha is extracted from the plant and is prepared in powder form
• Then this extracted powder is filled in vegetarian shell capsules
• It should be stored in an airtight container

Medicinal Properties

Sharpunkha capsules are the single herbal formulation. It helps in the detoxification of the liver and also helps in the regeneration of new liver cells.
