Management of frequent abortion through Ayurveda
Ayurveda analysis is based on the fundamental principles, which determines the factors involved in the vitiation of doshas, dhatu, srota, depleted Agni and ojas. According to the Madhava Nidanam, the core reasons which give the birth of complications related to the pregnancy are unhealthy foods and activities. It states that an appropriate diet is required to fulfill the basal needs of the body. In addition, when diet is appropriate then excessive eating habits and irregular time intervals can lead into the rise of such complications. It is further considered with the sense organs, intellectual and seasonal factors to reduce the risk of frequent abortion. Furthermore, Agni is the core element which controls our digestion and metabolism in the body. Agni controls strength, color, complexion, health, enthusiasm, age, ojas and life. Agni element correlates with the digestive enzymes contributing in the proper metabolism of the food to provide vital energy to the body. Thereby, digestion, metabolism and nutrition are the core of Ayurvedic disease management. In case of reduced Agni the food is not completely digested, which is stored in the tissues and produces Ama (toxins) that vitiate the doshas and results into the various diseases. Therefore, a controlled diet and balanced lifestyle in required to manage frequent abortions. In Ayurveda, natural herbs have been described to manage the frequent abortion. They pacify the Vatta doshas and control underlying factors causing frequent abortions.
