  2. Kutaj (Holarrhena antidysenterica) – Kutaj helps to manage numerous health conditions such as inflammation, diarrhoea, dysentery, etc. It is beneficial in loss of appetite. The use of kutaj is effective in managing the worm infestations. It helps to manage muscular weakness, bleeding conditions, and also promotes the healing of ulcers.

  6. Indrayav (Holarrhena antidysenterica) – The seeds of indrayav are used in the preparation of vidangarisht. It is kapha pitta shamak.   12. Tejpatra (Cinnamomum tamala) – Tejpatra is also known as tamalpatra. It has diaphoretic and diuretic properties. The leaf of cinnamon is used in the preparation of vidangarisht. It is hot in potency and is therefore helpful in improving digestion. Tejpatra is beneficial in managing colic, diarrhoea, indigestion and reduced appetite. It is used in uterine inertia and is also helps fertilization and overcomes habitual abortion.
  13. Kachnaar (Bauhinia variegata) – It is kapha and pitta shamak. It helps in cleaning the wounds and promotes healing. It has anthelmintic properties. Kanchanar is useful in managing polyures, menorrhagia, lipid disorders and skin disorders.   15. Kali Maricha (Piper nigrum) – Maricha stimulates the salivation and digestive juices. It clears the deposits of kapha on the tongue and chest. It is a liver stimulant and a very effective vermifuge also. Kali maricha is also useful in stimulating the channels of sweat, causing perspiration and purifying the skin. Hence, it is also effective in a variety of skin conditions. Pepper helps to correct urinary disorders by reducing the viscosity of the phlegm and removing it from the body.   2. Khus (Vetiveria zizanioides) – Khus is the root of a herb veeran. It is also known as usheer. It helps to improve digestion and is cool in potency. Khus is beneficial in managing fevers, vomiting, excessive thirst, poisoning cases, burning sensation, etc. It is also useful in various urine related difficulties.Khus also helps to promote the healing of wounds.
