Kamdudha ras is one of the classical preparations of Ayurveda which is used to treat various health ailments. Ayurveda is the science of life in which treatment is done by using herbs and medicines made from herbs. Some of them are classical preparations, i.e. which are used since antiquity and its preparation method always remains the same no matter which brand or company is manufacturing it. Kamdudha is one of those classical herbal medicines. There are three vital humors which govern the life cycle, as per Ayurveda named as Vata, Pitta and Kapha dosha. When the balance of these doshas is lost, this results in disease. Hence, to treat these imbalanced doshas andto restore their balance, herbs and herbal medicines are used.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES OF EACH INGREDIENT

1. Amrutha (Giloy) Satva

It possesses numerous health benefits like anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, carminative, hepatoprotective, detoxifying, anti-hypertensive and healingproperties. Giloy satva helps to heal ulcers in ulcerative colitis and other similar conditions and enhances the immunity of a person. It combats the side effects of chemotherapy and also possesses anti-cancerous properties.

2. Swarna Gairika

It is a cooling, sweet, anti-phlegmatic, astringent and anti-bilious natural substance which is used in Ayurveda to treat various diseases. Swarna gairika treats bleeding disorders, piles, skin disorders, ulcers, urticaria, boils etc. This natural compound used in Kamdudha ras is Pitta-Nashak (destroys Pitta dosha), Balya (provides strength to the body), and Kapha-hara (pacify the Kapha dosha).

3. Praval Pishti

It possesses various therapeutic properties like anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, antacid, digestive stimulant, antacid, coolant, detoxifier, carminative and anti-pyretic. 5. Shankh Bhasma

Gastritis

Both acute and chronic gastritis can be treated well and naturally with Kamdudha ras. It relieves the inflammation of the lining of the stomach and treats gastritis. Peptic Ulcer

Vertigo

Vertigo is the result of aggravated Pitta dosha. Kamdudha ras helps to pacify the Pitta dosha and vertigo is also due to aggravated Pitta. It treats poor circulation, anxiety, inner ear problems, anemia, migraine etc. These all can be the reasons for vertigo.
