WHAT ARE THE PROPERTIES OF INGREDIENTS USED IN PLANET AYURVEDA’S BRONCO PLAN SYRUP?
1. Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum)
Tulsi has anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and anti-asthmatic properties that are useful in the treatment of asthma and respiratory disorders.
Meaning: In this shloka, medicinal properties of tulsi are described. It balances Kapha dosha and helpful in decreasing excess sputum production. It is also useful in worm infestation. Tulsi also increase digestive fire and is helpful in indigestion.
2. Madhuyashti (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
It has properties such as anti-asthmatic, anti-microbial, and expectorant properties. This herb is considered as an excellent remedy for throat disorders and for improving voice quality.
3. Pippali (Piper longum)
This herb possesses mast cell stabilizing property. It is immunomodulatory and anti-asthmatic in nature.
4. Maricha (Piper nigrum)
Maricha has anti-microbial property and because of its chedana (cutting) and shoshana (drying) effects, it balances Kapha dosha. Due to its kaphahara properties, it decreases sputum production.
5. Kakarshring (Pistacia integerrima)
The gall of this plant is extensively used in the treatment of respiratory disorders. Master Charak has classified this herb under Kashara (group of herbs that are used in the treatment of cough).
6. Vasaka (Adhatoda vasica)
Vasaka is antispasmodic, expectorant, antitussive and bronchodilator. Due to these properties, this herb is used in treating asthma, bronchitis and excessive mucous condition.
Meaning: In this shloka, the medicinal benefits of fruits of Vasaka are described. According to this shloka, the flower balances Kapha and Pitta. It is bitter, coolant and pungent in taste.
7. Brihad Ela (Amomum subulatum)
It is commonly known as black cardamom. It’s seeds have anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties that protect against infections and boost immune system. As per traditional Ayurvedic benefits, it is indicated in cough, cold, asthma and chronic respiratory disorders, throat pain, sore throat etc.
8. Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica)

9. Haridra (Curcuma longa)
