ABOUT HINGVASHTAK CHURNA
The Hingvashtak Churna is one of the classical Ayurvedic dosage form used in Ayurvedic system of medicine. It is official in Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India is combination of seven reputed herbs and one salt. It is one of the well-known formulation for digestive aliments. Hingu – means Asafoetida, which is the main ingredient of this formulation; Ashtak – means it is having eight components / ingredients.

- Pippali (Long pepper, Piper longum, Indian long pepper) stimulates digestive fire and can be used to treat indigestion, dyspepsia, flatulence, vomiting and loss of appetite.
- Maricha (Black pepper) is an appetizer and carminative commonly used in the treatment of digestive system related complaints like dyspepsia, indigestion, flatulence, nausea, diarrhea and colic pain.
- Ajmoda (Ajwain) increases bile, it is indicated in low appetite and digestive weakness. It promotes digestion and assimilation. It has property of digestion, vomiting and purging, and gives feeling of lightness.
- Shweta jiraka (Cumin) seeds help your body digest food as well as reduce gas and soothe indigestion. Mix one teaspoon of cumin seeds in a glass of water. Add one teaspoon of fresh coriander leaf juice and a pinch of salt. This can be taken twice daily after meals.
- Krishan jeerak is very beneficial in acid reflux, stomach problems and stimulates appetite.
- Hing (Asafoetida) is well known for Relieving digestive problems, like flatulence, constipation, stomachaches.
- Sunthi (Dried ginger) acts as a stimulant and carminative to the gastrointestinal tract. Sunthi is commonly called as ginger and is a daily herb used as a flavoring agent. Ginger is known as a digestive agent and thus soothes the digestive system.
- Saindava lavana (Rock salt) improves digestion by stimulating digestive fire without causing stomach irritation, without worsening gastritis. It is Vibandhaghana – relieves constipation & Bloating.
