Acne & Pimples

One of the most commonly encountered problems in teenagers is Acne and Pimples. It is caused by the clogging of oils in pores of skin. Inside of the pore there are sebaceous glands which produce sebum. Pimples have been a cause of embarrassment for many teenagers and sometimes get them into complex due to shyness and fear of being mocked at. A lot of teenagers neglect the proper medication of pimples and try to sort it out on themselves by squeezing it out themselves which in turn causes irritation and other ailment.

– Acne Causes

Due to the shedding of epidermal layer of the skin as a continuous process, the dead skin cells that are left behind may become attached together by the sebum. This causes the blockage in the pore, especially when the skin is thick during the puberty. The sebaceous glands keep on producing sebum which accumulates behind the blockage, and this sebum may also contain various microorganisms including those that cause infection as well as inflammation.

– Care and Proper Hygiene

By adopting good hygiene, that includes regular washing of skin areas with neutral cleansers (easily available in the market), can reduce the amount of dead skin cells, and resulting to lesser accumulation of oil. Also external contaminants on the skin can contribute to the development of pimples and acne. Conversely, there is lesser possible to completely prevent pimples, even with a regular good hygiene practices.
