TANACETUM PARTHENIUM
Tanacetum Parthenium is commonly known as feverfew is a member belonging to sunflower family. It has been used as a folk medicine in European medicine. It was used to relieve fevers, arthritis and headaches. The name Tanacetum Parthenium is derived from Latin, which means “fever reducer”.
At present this herb is mainly used for relieving migraine headache.
It is native to southeastern Europe but it has widely spread to Australia, North America and Europe.

Fresh and dried leaves of the plant are used for medicinal purposes.
CHARACTERISTICS OF TANACETUM PARTHENIUM
It is a short perennial bush which grows along roadsides and fields. It has yellow green flowers which resemble chamomile flowers. These flowers bloom from July to October months. This plant grows to a height of 46 cm in height. The leaves are citrus scented and the plant spreads within a short period of time.
