SUVARNA BHASMA (TABLETS)

Introduction

This is an ayurvedic classical medication which has been made of gold or can be referred to as monoatomic gold. Gold is used not only for making jewelry but it has an immense importance in the ayurveda also. Many medicines in ayurveda are there which use gold in their preparations and suvarna bhasma tablets are tablets which are made exclusively from gold calx, This medicine is in the tablet so it is also easy to consume.

Ingredients Used In Suvarna Bhasma (Tablets)

It contains —

1. Swarna (Purified gold)
2. Bijora nimbu (Citrus medica L)
3. Hingul (Compound of HgS)

Description Of Used Ingredients

All the ingredients have special medicinal properties which are mentioned below:

• Swarna – It is unctuous in nature. It is also aphrodisiac in nature, helps in nourishing the body, increases the intelligence power, and cuts the poisonous effect of toxins. Increases digestive power. It is also helpful in treating tuberculosis, can treat almost any kind of disorders, increases appetite and removes anorexia. Resultant taste conversion after digestion is sweet.
• Bijora nimbu – It is sour and sweet in taste and unctuous in nature. It helps in balancing the vata and kapha dosha, and the potency of bijora nimbu is hot. As it is hot in potency, sour in taste, it will help in cleansing the gold and detoxifying it. It makes the digestion of the gold easy and also enhances the absorption of gold.
• Hingul – It is a compound of mercury and sulfur. Taste of Hingul is bitter, astringent and pungent. It helps in calming down the kapha and pitta dosha from the body. It helps in igniting the digestive fire, has anti aging properties and causes cell rejuvenation. Due to mercury it has a property known as yogavhi i.e. it will increase absorption as it clears out the channels of the body and increases bioavailability.

Method Of Preparation

This method of preparation is used for making this formulation:

1. Gold is melted and mixed with mercury calx.
2. This mixture is grounded with the lemon juice.
3. This mixture is again grounded with the hingul and heated in a closed container, in the absence of air, at 400-500 degree celsius for 4-5 hours till it gets red like saffron stamens.
4. It is then made into pills.

Dosha Karma

It helps in balancing all the three doshas from the body i.e. Vata, pitta and kapha.

Dosage

It can be taken in the dose of 1-2 tablets a day.

Indications

It can be used in conditions such as:

1. It is used to treat many bacterial infections and viral infections.
2. Can be used to treat fever of unknown etiology.
3. Tuberculosis.
4. Poisoning (Septicemia).
5. Sexual transmitted disease.
6. Respiratory tract infections.
7. Weakness of the nerves.
8. Paralysis
9. Neurological disorders and psychosomatic disorders.
10. Joint pain such as in Rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis.
11. Skin diseases.
12. Sexual health of both men and women.
13. All types of cancer conditions.

Side Effects

It does not have any side effects but if taken in unpurified form it can destroy a person’s well being, strength, semen and can cause many disorders.
