Description
Introduction
Shotha is any condition associated with swelling and inflammation. The other terms used for shotha are shavyathu or shopha. This condition arises by vitiated vata dosha, this vitiated vata dosha pushes the vitiated rakta, kapha and pitta dosha into circulatory channels. After that vata gets obstructed which leads to the obstruction of pakta, kapha and pitta into the circulatory channels and causes swelling at the site of accumulation. Shothari mandoor is a classical ayurvedic formulation mentioned in bhaijashyaratanavali shotha rogadhikar. This formulation is available in the tablet form. As the name suggests shothari, shoth means swelling, hari means to cure and mandoor refers to cure anemia. So this classical ayurvedic formulation is used to cure various disease conditions that are associated with swelling, inflammation, edema and anemia.
