Abstract

Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) is well known as Green Chiretta’s “bitter tonic”. This plant is an erect herb that grows up to the height of 30-110 cm and grows mostly in shady and moist places. Introduction

Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) is a shrub that is found throughout India, It has a great ability to treat colds and is helpful in treating upper respiratory tract infections and various chronic infections. There are small pink-coloured flowers which are arranged in a lax pattern with various racemes and paniculates.
