Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Irritable bowel syndrome is a very common disorder that affects your large intestines. Irritable bowel syndrome presents with symptoms like abdominal pain, cramps, bloating gas, indigestion, constipation and diarrhea etc. IBS does not cause any inflammation of tissues or permanent damage to colon like ulcerative colitis and chron’s diseases. Person with irritable bowel syndrome can manage the condition with prescribed diet and life style.
Causes of IBS
Causes for Irritable bowel syndrome are not clear and there are no specific reasons for it. Inner wall of intestines are lines with layer of muscles which moves food from stomach to rectum due to its contractions. In IBS food is passed very quickly from stomach to rectum due to increased contractions of muscles and presents with symptoms like bloating gas, pain, diarrhea etc. In some conditions food passes very slow and discomfort is more with symptoms like constipation, cramps, gas etc. Some food items like milk, alcohol are also responsible for the same condition. Over stress also contribute to develop IBS. Hormonal imbalance around menstruation in women may also leads to irritable bowel syndrome.
Symptoms of IBS

1. Pitta balance

2. Akik pisti – (Agate calcium)
Akik pisti is gem stone found from the seas. It acts as cardiac tonic and helps balancing vata and pitta doshas. Also proven very effective in health diseases related to vata and pitta.
3. Jawar mohar pisti – (Calcium compound)
Jawar mohar pisti is another natural source of calcium. As it is cardiac toner helps in managing various heart disorders and gastrointestinal problems.
4. Kamdudha rasa – (Calcium compound)

5. Shudh Bhallatak – (Semecarpus anacadium)

6. Shudh Vatsanabh – (Aconitum ferox)

8. Haritaki – (Terminalia chebula)
